Reuben KENNEDY was born 1800/1810 in TN. He died Unknown.

I have acquired documentation of my Greatgreatgrandparents marriage. Reuben Kennedy (b.1813-KY) and Elizabeth Flowers (b.1818-TN.) were married in Overton Co. TN. on July 4th, 1835. Listed as Rubin & Elizabeth Kenada (1850 Fentress Co. TN.), in 1860 Census in Clinton Co. Ky. as Reuben & Elizabeth Kennedy and in 1870 Russell Co. Ky. Census as Reuben and Elizabeth Canada. Elizabeth (Flowers) Canada died March 25th, 1882 in Russell Co. Ky.
An Isaac B. Thrasher and Jim Beckman gave affadavits that they were at the wedding.
Hope to find parents of both.

I am PURELY speculating that Joseph Williams is the father of my William Thomas Williams. I have NO PROOF YET! But since he was next door to the Terrys and Roberts, he very well may be the one.

In 1860 I found:

In the fall of 1861 Gen. Albert Sidney Johnston was assigned the department of Tennessee; finding his lines poorly prepared for defensive or aggressive war, and to remedy this deficiency, he called on the Governors of the neighboring States for troops. Under this call many regiments were organized-the Forty-fourth one of that number, being from the counties of Bedford, Franklin, Grundy, Coffee, and Lincoln. Their regimental organization was completed at Camp Trousdale on the 9th of December, 1861
