Tom FRAZIER married Frances LEMMONS.
I do not believe that Tom Frazier and Frances Lemmons were ever married. I believe that Porter Lemmons was born out of wedlock.
Frances LEMMONS [Parents] [scrapbook] "Fannie" was born 10 May 1877 in Cannon Co., TN. She died 7 May 1932 in Brownfield, Terry Co. TX. Fannie married Tom FRAZIER.
All information leads to Porter being an illegitimate child of Frances Lemmons. I believe that Porters father was a Tom Frazier, but Frances and Tom never married and Porter was given the Lemmons name. I believe the information given on the death certificate of his mother was to cover up the fact that he was illegitimate.
Using Porter(1910 census), he is in Terry Co TX married to Ora Alice Patterson and had one child there in 1933 and twins in 1936.
On his WWl draft card in Bell Co 1918, he states he was b MO May 12 1897 and next of kin is mother, Mrs Fannie Lemmons.
1920 Bell Co, they are listed together, F Limon 43 b TN widow, Porter son b TX age 22.
1930 they are in Carlsbad Eddy Co, New Mexico. She is listed as Lucinda F Lemmons age 53 b TN, widow, fthr GA mthr TN, Porter son 31 MO US TN does odd jobs. They are renting/living with Lige Hill 36 TX, wife Zelie 41 TX, Oren Sifford stepson 10 NM, Wanda step dtr 8 NM.
On the TX death index there is a Fannie Frazier Lemmons who died in Terry Co May 7 1932. This DC lists her father as Tom Frazier and mother unknown. The informant was P.W. Lemmons. It shows she was born May 10th 1877. It shows that her widow was Mr. T.W. Lemmons.
Porter died in Chatham Co.,GA 1981. Ora in San Diego 1990.
Where is Porter in 1900? His middle initial is W on the birth index but no middle name is listed on the WWl card.

Houston "Doc" Snow is famous in Wichita Falls, Wichita Co., Texas. On
September 30, 1920, while playing poker, the gambling house that he was in was raided by Deputy Constable J.R. Spiller and Special Deputies Mr. Belcher, William S. Toney, Marvin Caple and Joe Hancock. The men walked into the gambling house and Wiley Smith yelled, "boys, the law is here." With that, Houston Snow pulled a gun out from under the table and began shooting. William S. Toney and Marvin Caple, two of the Special Deputies were killed. Houston was sentenced to 20 years in prison. His attorney appealed and while out on bond waiting for the appeal, Sergeant M.N. Koonsman, a Texas Ranger, along with Sergeant J.W. McCormick went on a raiding expedition on July 21, 1923. Koonsman entered a building where Snow was, Snow drew down on him and Koonsman killed him.
