She told me also that Isom had whiskers all over his face, always told all truth, and was a carmelite, but didn't go to church.
Leona is big boned and has red hair...that is what she told me :)
She is the one that mentioned that Marry married TRIGG.

Lizzie Wallace to M.D. East
Chico, Wise Co. TX
Dec. 20, 1896Mr. M.D. East, Denton Co.
Dear Sir: I am at this place visiting, accidentally saw your notice in the Baptist Standard of Waco, TX in regard to our Cam McDougal. He died about two years ago in Oct. 1894. I think I can get you the exact date of his death when I go home. He was living with his second wife (his first wife was an East) at Aubrey, Denton Co, TX. His son in law Hon. Jno Watson is living in Houston, Tex is now ____ (can't read what this said) of the Masonic Grand Lodge. His (Watsons) first wife who was Kate McDougal died years ago leaving one girl baby who is now grown and married. Her address two years ago was Mrs. Lallie Mason, Clarksville, Red River Co, Tex. This girl is the only living offspring of A.C. McDougal.
I am a descendent of one of the East sisters who came to Texas about the same time. They were Kitty, Martha and my grandmother. Martha and grandmother both married men by the name of Pace. Martha never had children. Grandmother had 4. My mother (Melinda), Edwin, Eugenia and David. Edwin died when a child, Eugenia married, died and has only 2 children living, Rev. H.E. Luck of Oak Cliff, Tex and Miss Jessie Luck of Waco, Tex.
Uncle David when last heard from was at Lamasco, Tex. I don't know how many children he has. My mother is Mrs. J.K. Street of Lampasses, Tex. She has 2 children, myself and my sister Kate.
My grandmother and grandfather both died when their children were small. Uncle Scion and Aunt Martha Pace raised the children. Martha and Scion are both dead.
Your name led me to believe you would be interested in all the East family who are in Tex. I want you to write to me and tell me who you are. You can learn the particulars of Uncle Macs death by either writing to Mrs. Mason or Mrs. Watson. My address is Mrs. J.E. Wallace, Belton, Bell co, Tex.
Uncle Mac married a widow (Mrs. Hyatt) the second time. I think she is still at Aubrey, Tex. Please let me hear from you, our family is not very large and I know very little about any of them out of this state.Respectfully,
Lizzie WallaceThis was the letter that Lizzie was replying to:
Texas Baptist Standard Waco, TX Vol.9 #3
Thursday December 17, 1896
Will some reader of the Standard give me the address of a Methodist preacher named Cam McDougal? He once lived at Waco, and at Paris. He went to Texas from Tishomingo county, Miss., about the year 1852. His son-in-law once lived in Paris. His name was John Watson. He was a saddler by trade. M.D. East, Denton, ARBIOGRAPHY: From Ed Patterson in the "East Wind" Volume 2 May 1988
BIOGRAPHY: Archibald McDougal, born 25 Mar 1775 in Scotland, son of Duncan and Ann Campbell McDougal. When he was just old enought to sit alone, he and his three older brothers were brought by the parents from Scotland to America., where they settled in Cumberland Co, NC. That are of NC was already well populated, mainly by other immigrants from Scotland, including a number of other McDougal familes.
He was married in Cumberland Co NC to Ann (Nancy) Sorrell (bond dated 20 Mar 1804). They had nine children, the first five of whom were born in NC between 1805 and 1813. The 6th child was born in 1815, possibly in TN, and 7th, 8th and 9th children were born in Alabama, probably in Lauderdale Co near the TN state line. They probably lived in Tishomingo Co, MS for a time in the 1820's, 1830's, 1840's, as several of their children married there and lived there all their lives.Archiblad McDougal died 24 Aug 1852 at Wayland Springs, in Lawrence, TN and was buried at the Shiloh Cemetery near Iron City, TN. His widow, Nancy (sorrell) McDougal, died 31 May 1856 and was bureid at Rutledge - Salem Cemetery, about 5 or 6 miles South of Iuka, in Tishomingo Co., MS. Her gravestone gives her birth date as 15 May 1783.
The ninth and last child of Archibald and Nancy was Archibald Campbell McDougal, born 13 Apr 1823 in AL. He was called "Cam" by other members of the family. He married 20 Nov 1845, in Tishomingo Co, MS to Margaret C. East. They moved to TX. He became a minister in the Methodist Church and preached in the various circuits of North Texas, giving his first sermon in 1853 and his last sermon in Aubrey in August 1894. His wife Margaret (East) Mcdougal died in 1883 and he married (2) on Nov 24 1884 at Denton, TX to Mrs. Jennie Hyatt. He died on 4 Nov. 1894 at Aubrey TX and was buried at the **McKensie Wilson Cemetery about 2 miles from Aubrey.**Now known as the Wilson-Black Jack Cemetery. Take 380 Bus. to 428 to Aubrey. Go to Black Jack Rd. to Wilson Cemetery Rd. which dead ends into dirt road to cemetery. Signs say "No Tresspassing" down to the cemetery. We went anyway. About 35 graves in cemetery. Someone has repaired all of the fallen and broken stones.

(Since Robert Wallace and Mary Fancher were not married until 1828 it appears that Mary was married before since there are 2 females in the household who were born 8-13 years before their marriage. Could Fancher have been her married name when she married Robert and if so, what is her maiden name? I believe now that she was Mary Daivs who married Henry Fancher and had 2 daughters, Mary Ann and Eliza.)

Mary "Molly" "Polly" DAVIS FANCHER [Parents] was born 1 about 1800 in TN. She died Bef 1862 - Aft. 1850 in Attala Co., MS Or Bienville Parish, LA. Mary married 2 Robert WALLACE on 2 Oct 1828 in Bibb Co., AL.
Other marriages:FANCHER, Henry
Working Notes:
There are many family trees on the Internet stating that Mary Fancher daughter of Richard Fancher first married William Davis and secondly married Robert Wallace. This cannot be true. The Mary Fancher mentioned in the will of Richard Fancher was deceased when it was written on June 22, 1847 and the Mary or "Molly" that married Robert Wallace was alive in 1850 in Attala Co., MS. So this Mary cannot be the daughter of Richard but must be the daughter of someone else.
I believe at this moment that Mary Davis who married Henry Fancher in Montgomery Co. AL, married Robert Wallace after Henry died. In the 1830 Bibb Co, Census, Robert has 2 females age 10-15 living in his household which is the right age of Mary's 2 girls by Henry - Eliza and Mary Ann. Later in 1850 in Attala Co., MS, Middleton Pool and wife Mary Ann (Fancher) daughter of Mary Davis Fancher are found living near Robert Wallace and wife Mary Ann (Davis Fancher) Why else would Middleton Pool and wife Mary have gone to Attala Co, MS? Mary Ann Fancher Poole has a daughter Mary and Eliza and a son Henry. I am still searching for Mary's 2nd daughter, Eliza.
I also believe that Ransom and Person Davis who are witnesses in Henry Fanchers will are either brothers or uncles.Johnson Fancher, J.F. Fancher and Jesse Lard were witnesses to the Will of Robert Wallace
