This case is about Samuel C. Johnston Jr. and Others vs. J.G. Gibson and Others. In this case it mentions that: A garnishment was issued on Willis Worley as Executor of the Will of Gabriel Worley to testify on Oath as to whether he was indebted to J.G. Gibson. Gabriel Worley died before the Civil War leaving a Will, which gave his daughter Polly Kennedy one child slave and one daughter of Polly Kennedy named Sarah married J.G. Gibson.

Benjamin WILLIAMS 1 was born 1829 in Wilson Co.? TN. He died after 1880. Benjamin married Emily Jane DOGGETT on 21 Jun 1860 in Giles Co., Tennessee.

This is all speculation and just my notes, I don't have any positive proof yet that Benjamin Williams is the father of William Thomas although it does look like he might be.

Basically, I have eliminated all of the Williams families who had a son by the name of Wm. T. in the Giles Co. census except for Benjamin Williams.So here is my latest scenario. I believe that Benjamin Williams is the father of William T. Williams and his mother is Martha? (possibly Kincaid)
I believe that Martha died between 1850 and 1860 and by 1860 Benjamin was married to Emily Doggett. I also feel that William T. was probably staying with another relative after the death of his mother as Benjamin probably couldn't take care of him alone.
Then by 1870 William T. was married and his father Benjamin had married again to an Ella (or maybe Emily and Ella are one in the same) and they started having children together.
William T. Williams was sent to prison for stealing the horse of David Kincaid which I believe would be his uncle, not David Kincaid Sr. who was living with Benjamin and Martha in the 1850 census and and might have been his grandfather or great grandfather.
So if this scenario is true, than all of the children shown for Benjamin would only have been half siblings for William T. and he never had any real brothers or sisters. To make this all work, I have to find a William T. age 11 living in a household in 1860 that he was not shown to be in in 1850.Now if Benj. named his first son after his father like he should have then this means that Benjamin's father would have been William Williams.

This William Williams has a son that would have been the right age for Benjamin. AND this family is living next to the Terry's and Robert's family. James Terry's daughter Collie married my William T. Williams and James brother John Terry married Elizabeth Roberts the daughter of William Roberts.
