19 May 1829 - Samuel Broyles sues Adam Broyles and wife (Rosannah), Daniel Broyles, William Rush and wife, children of Polly Stout, dec'd, John Lemons and wife (Rachel), Joseph Willet and wife, Tobias Broyles, and William Broyles (administrator of Adam Broyles, dec'd.) He sued in Greene Co. in regard to the settlement of his father Cyrus's estate. {Burgner, 35}

16 May 1832 - The Greene Co. Court finds in favor of Samuel. Cyrus Broyles had divided his land among his children (15 Sep 1806), except Rachel and Rosannah whose husbands received cash. All children received an amount equal to $333.03. Samuel's complaint regarded a slave worth $300 given to Adam Broyles (Rosanna's husband) by Cyrus in 1818. This had not been taken into account in the estate settlement. {Burgner, 50}

19 May 1829 - In Greene Co., Tenn., Samuel Broyles sues Adam Broyles and wife, Daniel Broyles, William Rush and wife, children of Polly Stout, dec'd, John Lemons and wife, Joseph Willet and wife, Tobias Broyles, and William Broyles (administrator of Adam Broyles, dec'd.) He sued in regard to the settlement of Cyrus's estate. {Burgner, 35}

1830 - Tobias is listed again in the census of Harrison Co., Ind. {27:89}

- Sometime after Tobias's death, Benjamin Crabill deeds 20 acres adjoining Tobias's property to the heirs of Tobias. {Probate}

11 Oct 1838 - Ephraim, and Christopher Kesner and wife Barbara place an advertisement in the "Investigator" (Corydon, IN) to the other heirs stating their desire to partition the estate. {Probate} (The DAR says there is a deed of this date, Book C, page 125. Research in Harrison County was unable to find it.)

13 Nov 1838 - Application of partition is made at court. Commissioners Michael Rhodes, David Conrad, and Henry Stine are appointed to partition the estate. {Probate}

13 Feb 1839 - Motion to sell because they are unable to equitably partition the estate. {Probate}

23 Mar 1839 - The estate is sold to Joseph Crabill for $355. {Probate}

May 1839 - The sale is reported to the court. {Probate}

21 Aug 1849 - Crabill makes his final payment and receives the deed from commissioners Henry Stine, Josiah Littell, and William Booker. (These last two replace Rhodes and Conrad who have died.) {Probate}
